Agents of Alternatives – feminist publishing collective

We have joined Agents of Alternatives (AoA), a feminist publishing collective based between the Italian Alps, Danish islands and cosmopolitan Berlin. Our mission is to promote and support creative practices aimed at positive societal change amongst citizens, neighbourhoods and communities through practice-based art, design and architecture research.

We publish books, zines, posters and much more, across disciplinary and institutional boundaries. Our aim is to make accessible the valuable knowledge created through embodied critical practice, which often remains marginalised, left undocumented or inaccessible to the public in academic libraries and journals.

We believe in building webs of interdependence, and are motivated by the manifold immaterial values which are nurtured and created through the joyful and mutual (re)production and sharing of knowledge.

We welcome outputs in the languages we know (at current, English, German, Italian, French, Danish, and Finnish). Do contact us if you want to publish in a different language, together we can reach out to our networks for matching peer reviewers. All of our digital publications are open access and credited with an ISBN or ISSN number.
